Fes - Ifrane - Monkey Forest - Ziz Valley - Merzouga

We start our 5 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech passing through the desert traveling along the route to Ifrane, a city known for its alpine atmosphere, with Swiss-style buildings and its cold temperatures. From there, we head to the Monkey Forest at the Michlifen Pass, where you will be able to observe the Barbary monkeys, an indigenous species of Morocco. Then, we continue to the Ziz Valley, a place famous for its endless palm grove that stretches along the Ziz River.

Finally, we arrive at Merzouga, where we prepare for a camel ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes, known for their sand formations that can reach up to 150 meters high. We will spend the night in a desert camp, where you can enjoy the starry sky, a unique experience in the Sahara.

4x4 tour of Erg Chebbi

On the second day of the 5 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech passing through the desert, we will embark on a 4x4 expedition through the majestic dunes of Erg Chebbi. On this tour, we will explore the desert thoroughly, passing through nomadic villages where we will learn how the inhabitants survive in this arid environment. We will make stops at strategic points to take photos, as in the small oases that dot the desert. We will also visit Khamlia, a village known for its Gnawa music, a mixture of African and Arabic traditions. After a lunch at a local restaurant, we will return to Merzouga, where you can relax and enjoy the peace of the desert.

Merzouga - Rissani - Todra Valley - Dades Valley

Today we continue our 5 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech passing through the desert traveling to Rissani, a traditional city where we will visit its vibrant market, a place full of colors and aromas where spices, fruits and artisan products are sold. After the visit, we head towards the impressive Todra Gorges, vertical rock formations that reach up to 300 meters high, ideal for hiking or just to enjoy their natural beauty.

Then, we travel through the Dades Valley, a canyon surrounded by mountains with panoramic views and curious rock formations known as “monkey fingers”. Here, we will spend the night in a local hotel or riad.

Dades Valley - Valley of Roses - Ait Benhaddou - High Atlas - Marrakech

The fourth day of our 5 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech passing through the desert will take us through the Valley of Roses, famous for its rose plantations and the villages that specialize in the production of rose-based cosmetics. From there, we will travel to Ait Benhaddou, an ancient adobe fortified city that has been the setting for movies such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its architecture is impressive.

After touring Ait Ben Haddou, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains, a spectacular mountain range that offers panoramic views of arid landscapes and green valleys, before finally arriving in Marrakech at the end of the afternoon.

Guided Tour of Marrakech or Transfer to the Airport

On the last day of our 5-day tour from Fez to Marrakech passing through the desert, you will have the opportunity to take a guided tour of Marrakech. This vibrant city full of history will captivate you with its mixture of cultures. We will visit the famous Jamaa el Fna Square, where street shows are held, street vendors, and you can try local delicacies.

Then we will explore the traditional souks of Marrakech, the Bahia Palace, with its Moorish architecture, and the Majorelle Gardens, which were created by the designer Yves Saint Laurent. At the end of the day, if necessary, we will transfer you to Marrakech Airport for your return flight.
